The Case for physical media
Like most I want to own my media. From on of the few pop culture blogs I read daily a pretty good read on why owning is better than renting. Unlike the author I do not get all warm and fuzzy about holding something in my hand. Yes LP Albums are a trip, but a jewel case not so much. Also the sound of an LP compared to copying it, editing it with Audacity , and playing it up-scaled to 24 bit leaves analog in the dust. I would prefer to have all my stuff on a backed up hard drive.
