Ford an example to live by
Elections
cannot be substituted for laws. Look at Hazel, she could kill babies in the
courtyard at lunchtime in Square one, and the decision of the people, no
problem. We see this over and over in positions big and small. Another glaring
example is contempt of Parliament, and the people decide its no big deal. So
just like term limits we need laws to protect the body politic from its own
lizard brain. That why this decision will be embraced in the long term. That is why for our elected leaders we need more accountablity, not less, less tolerance not more.
