Amen steve! Just reading this made me go to my shelf and get my copyof Snow Crash. Been leafing through it for the last half hour. One of the best books ever. Not just sci-fi. And unlike most other Stephenson works (cough Cryptonomicon cough) it has a real, quality ending. And I put Crypto in my top 10 books of all time. So Snow Crash has to be top 5. And he's still killing it. Seveneves was awesome. I'm rambling now. Just like my favourite blogger! :)
